Owen succeeds Karl Paadam and will cover 27 countries in his new role. It first arrived on 1. September 2021 as legal counsel to PwC (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on 2 September 2021). Previously, he was a partner at Allen & Overy after joining the magic circle in 1994. He was Head of the SEE Office and since the beginning of 2016 Head of the Ukraine Office. In 2000, he founded A&O`s Slovak office and in 2008 A&O`s associate office in Romania. In late 2018, Owen launched his own consulting firm called Go2Law. I oversee PwC`s legal team, which provides practical and tailored advice to facilitate the firm`s operations and strategy. “I am very excited about this exciting role, where I will be working with several hundred talented PwC lawyers and other professionals and staff from the region in 27 (and more) countries,” commented Owen. “Our team, together with our colleagues at PwC, who are absolutely at the forefront in their respective fields, can offer unique capabilities to help our clients.

Owen joined PwC in September 2021 as Of Counsel in the M&A practice in Central and Eastern Europe.

Previously, he was a long-time partner at Allen & Overy, where he held several leadership positions, including Head of the Ukraine office, and during his time at the firm, he helped establish A&O`s Slovak and Romanian offices. France Legal Leader, Paris / Neuilly-sur-Seine, PwC France Hugh Owen is appointed Head of Legal at PwC Central and Eastern Europe. PwC has hired a senior lawyer from technology and data law firm ZwillGen. Prior to her current role, Diana was General Counsel at PwC in the United States. She joined PwC US in 2012 after serving as an external advisor to several PwC law firms around the world. Diana has been representing professional services firms for over 20 years. Prior to joining PwC, Diana was a litigator at the law firm of King & Spalding, representing clients in state and federal courts in the United States, in enforcement proceedings before the Securities & Exchange Commission, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and others, as well as in civil and criminal investigations. Prior to joining King & Spalding, Diana was a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.

Diana received her J.D. from Cornell University and her B.A. from Ohio State University.
